  • CAGLIARI

Founded by Phoenician sailors but, in the government of this city, Carthaginians, Romans and Byzantines, Pisans, Aragonese alternated before passing for several centuries under the dominion of Spain. Cagliari is an image of its history and wherever you go, you encounter traces of its rich past: ancient Roman ruins, museums full of prehistoric finds, centuries-old churches and elegant palaces.

Castello District: getting lost in the streets of the ancient city is evocative and mysterious. Aperitivo at Libarium Nostrum is the undisputed must for the most beautiful and open view on the entire Sardinian west coast. Then just continue the walk passing under the Torre dell'Elefante to arrive at the Bastione di San Remy, from here you can enjoy the view of the entire city center until you reach the Poetto seafront and the east coast; pit stop at De Candia for true Cagliaritans.

Poetto & Calamosca: the seafront famous for being frequented 365/365 and where you can meet the true people of Cagliari who even in December, weather permitting, enter the water or do not give up a lunch overlooking the sea. Beach club with cuisine: La Paillotte, Le Palmette, Le Terrazze di Calamosca, Ristorante Calamosca.

    SOUTHWEST COAST

Pula, Chia and Tuerredda: any beach you choose will be a gift for the eyes: Cala Cipolla, Cala Zafferano, Spiaggia della Campana, Su Giudeu and many others. Where to eat: easy pit stops in the center of Pula at Nomàd, S'Incontru, Chiarì and Corte Noa; if you are in the romantic version then a few places pied dans l'eau: Nomàd in riva, Don Carlo (restaurant of the Sant'Efis Hotel) and the Poseidon; the best "Catalan-style" fish is at Crar'e Luna, while the Chia restaurant par excellence is Il Mirage; and if you want to immerse yourself in the real Sardinia and see how they make porchetto on the spit, a healthy and caloric dinner on a farm can only be at La Biada or at Su Lilloni (don't eat 12 hours before to arrive with a ready stomach).

Nora: city founded by the Phoenicians with evocative pre-Roman and Roman ruins overlooking the lagoon. Don't miss at least one lunch or dinner in the evocative setting of Fradis Minoris Michelin Ristorante (Booking required).

Carloforte: Ligurian-Sardinian island with wild beaches, fine tuna and an irresistible pesto, Da Andrea and Da Nicolo are the 2 musts of Carloforte food.

Sant'Antioco: less touristy and still authentic. Don't miss a dinner at Da Achille and visit the shop, in the center of the town, where Bysso is still handmade by Chiara Vigo.

Is Molas Golf Club: if you play golf it is an unmissable stop even just for a little driving range or a walk in the greenery overlooking the sea.

    SOUTH EAST COAST

Mari pintau: in Sardinian literally "painted sea" because the color of the water in this bay is dreamlike, choose a day with southerly wind to enjoy it to the fullest, and have patience to get to the beach, it will be worth it.

Villasimius: Porto Giunco beach is the flagship of southern tourism, it deserves a visit to understand why. We recommend the Il Delfino beach club for 100% relaxation and comfort and, if you are a sportsman or a romantic, book a horseback tour at sunset for a trot in the Sardinian nature that passes from the sea shore to the top of the lookout tower that dominates the Bay: it will give you an unforgettable moment. A selfie is a must here. When the mistral blows, you will find a corner of paradise at Campulongu beach.

Castiadas: Cala Sinzias, blue sea and deeper waters characterized by luxury beach clubs such as Tamatete and Maklas.

    NORTH

If you decide to extend your trip even longer, we strongly recommend to check these places out: Ogliastra (Cala Gonone, Cala Goloritzè, Cala Luna), Costa Smeralda (Porto Cervo, Phi Beach) L'Arcipelago della Maddalena, L’Isola Dell’Asinara.
